Update - Stephen Pieper Memorial Fund

11th July 2022

As many of you know, RASC member Stephen Pieper was killed last summer in a biking accident on Country Club Road SW.  His wife, Kelly has set up a memorial fund to help sponsor biking activities in remembrance of Stephen’s love of cycling.

This summer we have finally acquired a set of 12 communication radios for coaches, 4 additional bikes (to current fleet of 8) to allow beginners and underprivileged kids try out the sport, and 12 new bike helmets.

Attention Students!

Our local Minnesota Cycling League (MCL) mountain bike team is open to all upcoming 6th-12th graders.  No previous experience necessary, just a desire to ride and have fun!

Registrations for the Fall 2022 team will open soon

Registration is in two parts this year

1. RMBT registration with MCL

- Previous team members should receive a registration link in their email.  If you were on the team last year but did not receive an email from the state league, first check your spam folder, then email

- Previous team members should receive a passcode to complete their registration from their head coach.  We will send this passcode out when we are ready to begin accepting registrations for the 2022 season (Mid April)

- New team members should email the student athletes name to  We will email a link to the registration system and a passcode to use for registration.

2. RASC registration for the 2022 RMBT

-After registering with the team on the MCL website, team members will need to also register in the RASC system for the RMBT event.  The student athlete must complete this registration to participate on the RMBT.

The number of student athletes we can accept on the team is directly related to the number of registered volunteer coaches.  The MCL requires we maintain a 1:6 or 2:8 coach:student ratio at practices.  As more volunteer coaches are registered we will open up registration to more students.
